Mitose-Phasen:
1. Profase
- Chromosomen werden grob und sichtbar = sie werden spiralförmig und kondensieren
- Der Kern verschwindet und die Kernmembran zerfällt
- mitotischer Apparat wird gebildet - Zentriolen wandern zu entgegengesetzten Polen der Zelle und eine Trennspindel wird zwischen ihnen gebildet
2. Metaphase
- Chromosomen sind zu diesem Zeitpunkt am besten zu beobachten
- Die Chromosomen sind in der Mittelebene angeordnet
- Es wird eine Längsverteilung von Chromosomen beobachtet, die noch an der Centromer-Stelle gebunden sind
3. Anaphasis
- Das Zentromer wird gespalten und die Mikroröhrchen der Teilerspindel werden gekürzt
- Die Schwesterchromatide brechen an den Zellpolen auf
4. Telophase
- Entspiralisierung der Chromosomen
- Kernmembranbildung und Kernerneuerung
5. Zytokinese
- Dies geschieht auf zwei Arten: durch Ankreuzen der Zelle in der Mitte (für tierische Zellen) oder durch Bilden einer Platte (für pflanzliche Zellen). Es wächst von der Mitte der Zelle bis zu den Rändern der Zellwand.
